Coco Comic con 2022 is all about Celebrating indie comics and creators.

CoCo Comic Con is a small press day event dedicated to supporting and celebrating the creative minds behind the UK’s independent comic book community!

The event will be held in Lancaster on August 13th, 2022 and will feature numerous local artists selling their comics, stickers, and other bits and bobs, as well as planned comic making courses for all ages.

  • Free Entry for guests: Here’s the best part about CoCo Con: It’s free! Feel welcome to bring friends and family for a fun and creative day out, although we can’t promise that you won’t want to splash some cash on the exhibiting creator’s wonderful artwork.

  • Location and Time: the event will be held at Pizza Margarita (2 Moor Ln, Lancaster, LA1 1QD) on August 13th between 10am to 5pm

 
 
 

  • Mask mandates: Although there is no mandate on masks at the event, wearing one is heavily encouraged unless exempt. We will have have multiple hand sanitizer stations set up throughout, as well as on exhibitor's tables, that will be required to be used before picking up anyone's comics.

  • Sending in comics: If you’re a creator who can’t make it in person but would still like to contribute your comic work, we’re partnering with First Age Comics - Lancaster’s independent comic shop - to create a small press section for you to sell your work at the event! If you would like to send us your comics to stock, feel free to send us an E-mail at: cococomicspublishing@gmail.com.

  • Additional info:

    • If you are outside the United Kingdom, it is recommended to ship your work at least a week before the event.

    • First Age Comics will keep 20% of sales, with the rest going back to the original creator.

    • After the event, the comics can be kept at the shop for further sales, or the creator can pay for Postage and Packaging to have the books returned.

  • Comics Youth Fundraiser: We're partnering with Comics Youth to create a fundraiser raffle at the con for a HUGE gift bag of comics created by the exhibitors, with all proceeds going to Comics Youth, a Liverpool based organization led by young people, for young people, dedicated to giving marginalised creatives a platform to express themselves.
